Pre-E3 Trailer Roundup from G4TV

So, a slew of gorgeous trailers has been released for a whole spread of games.  I thought I’d go ahead and post them here so you didn’t have to go hunt them down yourself on YouTube.  You’re welcome.

First up, we have Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate (those colons look wrong to me.  Does that look wrong to you?).  This is kind of a dumb one I’ll warn you, telling you nothing but to look for this one at E3, but I’m including it for the sake of completeness.Told you it was dumb.

Next up is Lord of the Rings: Guardians of Middle EarthWhy was Gollum the one fighting Gandalf?  Seriously, who thought that would be the best pairing!?  Its like throwing an angry chihuahua at an elephant; best you’ll get is an annoyed elephant and a squishy chihuahua.

On to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (a much more approptiate number of colons).  This is a pretty good trailer, though a bit of a spoiler if you didn’t play Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 1.The ending is the best part to me.  Another Belmont arriving to fight Gabriel (who is now Dracula)!?  *shivers*

Metal Gear Rising: Re…ugh…Revengeance.  Stupidest word ever.  I’m sorry fans of the title and series, but I just despise that made up word.At least we’re getting a bit more of the story now and not just the weird justifications for making up a word like “Reveangence.”  Help me out here fans of Metal Gear Solid: this is after the fall of the Sons of the Patriots.  That puts it after Metal Gear Solid 4, right?  Never played any of them, so I’m afraid I’m completely lost on this series.

Tomb Raider…talk after the break, this is a good one…I’m getting a strong Uncharted vibe off this, and that is a great thing in my opinion.  I’m sad this got pushed to 2013, but this could easily be one of the best games of next year if they do it right.  I’ll be watching this one eagerly.

And finally, a gameplay trailer for Dishonored.  This is shaping up to be a pretty awesome looking title too…Does anyone else see a Half-Life 2/Bioshock blend in all this?  I’ve heard it said the game will also feature restricted free-roam similar to what was seen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.  If that’s the case, this could be an incredible game, just judging from the sheer volume of content we’re seeing in trailers and previews at this point.
